Podcast #001: Sir Peter Cosgrove

Episode Description

Sir Peter Cosgrove joins us today, who served as the 26th Governor General of the Commonwealth of Australia. He was knighted at his swearing-in in 2014, following his retirement in 2019. Sir Peter was further honoured as a commander of the Royal Victorian Order by Her Majesty the Queen.

We discuss how his personal brand and values were established and then grew over the years. We look into how others perceive him and how he responds to their perceptions. He provides advice for anyone whose values are being tested or wrongfully perceived, and also gives some guidance to the younger generation.

“When I was a kid, I unknowingly imagined what I stood for, how I would project, what was me. And in constructing this image, you have to live the image, you have to populate the image with the things that go with the image.”
— General Sir Peter Cosgrove, AK, CVO, MC
